The Pharmacy under the Eagle

The famous pharmacy ‘Under the Eagle’, is located at a very particular spot - right next to where former Krakow's ghetto wall used to be. It's now a branch of the Historical Museum of Krakow. Pharmacy was one of not many non-Jewish institutions located in a Jewish ghetto. Due to that it was truly unique and was able to serve and protect people's lives. Was founded and run by a Polish pharmacist Tadeusz Pankiewicz.

Planty Garden Ring

Planty - green belt of public parks left after Krakow's medieval city walls were demolished after 1807. They go all around the Old Town historical district. You can easily find good outdoors cafeterias or pubs, some galleries and museums.

Kosciuszko Mound

Kosciuszko Mound - erected in commemoration of national leader Tadeusz Kosciuszko - known for fighting against Russians. Today is a great place for walks. With a good weather you can admire whole Krakow, and also see silhouettes of Tatra Mountains.

Smok Wawelski – The Dragon of Wawel Hill

A metal sculpture of the Wawel Dragon commemmorating legend conected to founding of Krakow city. It is stylised, with six legs, and, to the amusement of children, it noisily breathes fire every few minutes, thanks to a natural gas nozzle installed in the sculpture's mouth.
